Introduction to the Siheyuan: The former residence was built in the fifth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1866), covering an area of 600 square meters. It was built by Shen Congwen's grandfather Shen Hongfu after purchasing an old residence. The horse head wall decorated with crests and the carved doors and windows make the whole former residence small, unique and antique.
