Introduction to Beiyan Temple: Beiyan Temple is located about 1 km east of Shuangxi Town, also known as Lower Courtyard. In the first year of Yongxi of the Song Dynasty (984), Jiashen-year-old monk Juehai built it and later destroyed it. It was rebuilt in the 25th year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1686), and continued by monk Dihui in the 30th year of Emperor Guangxu's reign (1904). The golden body of the temple was reshaped and began to take shape. The temple was brought back to Luoyang by the martial arts examination of the Qing Dynasty in the Central Plains and Xue Wenchao, the Taiwan garrison, and planted in the temple. , Since then, it has become famous inside and outside the county.
Surrounding the temple are the Lion Peak, Tiger Cave, Pine Bridge and Bamboo Pavilion, Tengyan Rock, Lotus Marsh, Whale Mountain, and Longjian. During the Republic of China, the county magistrate Fang Rizhong was particularly fond of the Beiyan landscape. He built the "Qiyan Pavilion" on the creek rock to the right of the temple. He also carved a huge stone on the stream called "Xinxin Rock" and renovated the stream for tourists to swim and bathe. It was very prosperous for a while. There are many poems about Beiyan in the past dynasties.
