Because its sound sounded like a surging tide, it was renamed in 1931. Chaoyin Waterfall is at the end of Beijiushui, surrounded by cliffs. The high southeast wall cracks like a door, and the waterfall pours down from there. The valley roars, and the sound is like a raging tide.
