Introduction to Mengjin Reservoir: The construction of Mengjin Reservoir started in 1951 and was completed in 1955. It was named after the code name "Mengjin" of the 17th Division. It is the Corps' first dedicated reservoir for agricultural irrigation, so it is known as "The First Lake (Library) of Military Reclamation". The lake was excavated with a water storage capacity of 65 million square meters. Due to siltation in recent years, the water storage capacity has been reduced to 38 million square meters, with a water surface of 17 square kilometers. The entire project was completed by manual lifting and hand lifting to consolidate the dam.
