Introduction to the Imperial Stele Pavilion: The Imperial Stele Pavilion is a double-eaves, four-cornered pavilion that was originally built by Zhong Hemei, the magistrate of Shanhaiguan in the 19th year of Qianlong’s reign in the Qing Dynasty. Emperor Qianlong visited Laolongtou four times and climbed the tower to compose poems. The poems inscribed by Qianlong on the imperial stele are three long poems written between the eighth and nineteenth years of Qianlong's reign.
