Introduction to the Czech Pavilion: Theme: Fruits of Civilization. The white exterior wall of the exhibition hall is covered with 63,415 "hockey balls" made of black rubber, spelling out a map of Prague's old town. One side displays the Czech Republic’s unique solution to urban problems such as traffic congestion and environmental pollution; the main display area on the other side is a “city” floating on soft grass, interpreting the theme through a virtual urbanized landscape.
