Introduction to boundary monuments: There are eight boundary monuments on Zhongying Street. Among these eight boundary monuments, No. 1 and No. 2 were left after the British unilaterally replaced the stone monuments in 1905. No. 3 to No. 7 were lost by the Japanese army. Today we see Monuments No. 3 to 7 were jointly erected by the Kuomintang government and the British Hong Kong authorities in 1948. They are important historical evidence of China's poverty and backwardness, the decay of the Qing Dynasty, and the invasion and carving up of China by foreign powers. They are also historical witnesses of China's reform and opening up, Hong Kong's return to the motherland and the implementation of "one country, two systems" and China's prosperity.
