Introduction to the Buddha-showing Platform: The Buddha-showing Platform is located outside the northeastern wall of the temple. It was built in 1468 and was created by the first Dalai Lama Gendhun Drubpa. This platform is 32 meters high, 42.5 meters long and 3.5 meters thick. It is divided into nine floors, connected by internal wooden ladders. There are many turning prayer racks, wind horses and rock carvings on both sides of this platform. On the 14th, 15th and 16th of May in the Tibetan calendar, huge Buddha statues of past Buddhas, present Buddhas and future Buddhas will be displayed here respectively.
