Introduction to the East Church: The East Church was built in the 10th-11th century. It is the oldest one among them. It is a typical Greek cross style, with a dome on the top and a semicircular apse protruding outward in the east. The murals in the church have two layers, the inner and outer. They were severely damaged and only a small part has been preserved, symbolizing the birth of the Bulgarian nation.
