Introduction to Xing'an Guild Hall: Thean Hou Temple was built in the first month of the 16th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (Xinwei 1811). It was used by the merchant gangs of Putian and Xianyou to pray for the safety of Songkou boats and ships and for the safety of the nearby people. It was built in the disaster to worship Mazu, the queen of heaven. Because Putian and Xinghua were called "Xing'an Prefecture" in the Yuan Dynasty, it was also called "Xing'an Hall".
