Introduction to the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Bronze Statue: The Sun Yat-sen Memorial Bronze Statue was presented by Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s Japanese friend Umeya Shokichi in the hope of promoting socialism through the commemorative bronze statue. In the winter of 1933, it was placed at the former site of the stele of Sun Yat-sen University. In the spring of 1954, the Guangzhou Municipal Government loaned it to the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. On November 12, 1956, it was transported to the current site of Sun Yat-sen University.
