Introduction to the Yichou Jinshi Memorial Archway: The "Yichou Jinshi" archway was built in the eighth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1635) to commend seven Jinshi scholars from Guangdong during the Tianqi period, including Liang Shiji, Li Sijue, Luo Yiru, Wu Yuanhan, Cen Zhibao, Yin Mingyi and Gao Kui. built. The archway was originally built at the Fourth Archway in Guangzhou. In the 1940s, the Guangzhou Municipal Government wanted to widen the road and move the five archways on the road to the scenic area. Lingnan University took over this "Yichou Jinshi" archway. It was originally erected on the west side of Grant Hall (now known as the "Big Bell Tower"), but later collapsed. In 1999, the school re-erected the archway in the central area of ​​the campus.
