Introduction to the Main Hall: The Main Hall is located behind the Tianwang Hall. It is the most majestic building in the temple. There are bells and drums on the left and right in the front yard.
Generally, the main halls of temples built by imperial decree are covered with green glazed tiles, with yellow glazed tiles inlaid in the center or trimmed with yellow glazed tiles to indicate "imperial construction". However, the main hall of Tanzhe Temple basically uses golden glazed tiles, and is only used on the lower eaves. The green glazed tiles are trimmed to distinguish it from the royal palace, which shows its high status.
At both ends of the main ridge of the palace, there is a giant green glass owl kiss, which is a relic of the Yuan Dynasty and is tied with a long shining gilt chain. The owl kiss appeared as a security object. Legend has it that it is one of the nine sons of the dragon. It belongs to water and restrains fire, so it was placed on the roof to prevent fire.
