Introduction to the mountain gate of Enyou Temple: The ruins are located opposite the west gate of Peking University. Enyou Temple was built in the first year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty (1723 AD). It was originally the Qingxi Bookstore in Changchun Garden. Emperor Kangxi often stayed here in his later years. Sleep and banquet, and die here. Emperor Yongzheng "recommended blessings to Emperor Sheng Zuren" and rebuilt the library into Enyou Temple. The temple originally had three courtyards, which were destroyed by the British and French forces in 1860, leaving only one mountain gate. In 1981, it was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Haidian District.
