Introduction to the chime bell: There is something unique and self-contained among the chimes of Marquis Yi of Zeng. This clock hangs in the most conspicuous position in the middle of the lowermost layer of the huge curved-foot-shaped bell frame. The clock is 92.5 centimeters tall and weighs 134.8 kilograms. With its unique shape, intricate patterns and exquisite production, it is a fine product among bronzes. There is a 31-character inscription engraved on the town of the bell, which means that in the fifty-sixth year of King Hui of Chu (433 BC), King Xiong Zhang of Chu came back from Xiyang and made this inscription specially for Zeng Hou Yi. The bell was sent to Xiyang for Marquis Zeng to enjoy forever.
