Introduction to the Kiev Golden Gate: The Kiev Golden Gate was built in the 11th century and is one of the few remaining well-preserved buildings from the Yaroslav era. The Golden Gate was the main entrance to the ancient city of Kiev. The door leaf and the church dome on the gate tower were decorated with gold-plated copper foil, hence the name. The Golden Gate of Kiev is 12 meters high and 6.4 meters wide. The construction of the Golden Gate had two functions at that time. One was as the most important city gate of Kiev at that time, and the other was for defense. In 1983, the Kinmen ruins were renovated and turned into a museum, open to tourists. Many cultural relics from ancient Kiev are displayed in the museum.
