Introduction to Te Papa National Museum: Te Papa National Museum is the largest museum in the southern hemisphere and the only government-managed museum in New Zealand. The museum was established in 1992, and its first director was Dame Cheryll Sotheran. The museum has a unique architectural style and rich collections. Its main exhibition halls include: marine geology and landforms exhibition hall, biological exhibition hall, Maori architecture, customs and traditional art exhibition hall.
