Introduction to the first view of the Konglin: In the backyard of the Main Hall, there is a magnificent building, which is the first view of the "Eight Views of the Konglin" in Wenshu Monastery, named "Double firs with auspiciousness". Under the eaves behind Daxiong Hall are two ancient cedar trees left over from the ancient Xinxiang Temple. When Zen Master Cidu rebuilt Wenshu Monastery, he laid the foundation stone between two fir trees. In the twelfth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (AD 1873), in order to commemorate the achievements of Zen Master Cidu, Abbot Chengsan built a polygonal "Nawu Zun Shengluoni Sutra Building" between two fir trees. During the Cultural Revolution, two ancient fir trees were destroyed and are now replaced by two ginkgo trees.
