Introduction to the gate of the military academy: The gate of the Huangpu Military Academy is simple in style. The large characters "Army Officer School" on the horizontal plaque above the center were written by Tan Yankai. The school gate was rebuilt in 1965 by the South China Sea Fleet of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. A couplet hangs at the door of the second gate: "Kill all the enemies, stop, and finish the revolution before looking back." On the wall to the right of the second gate, hangs the school motto "Dear Sincerity" written by Chiang Kai-shek. There was originally a couplet hanging on both sides of the colorful building at the gate of the military academy: "If you get promoted and make a fortune, please go elsewhere; if you are greedy for life and afraid of death, don't enter this gate." The banner read "Revolutionaries are coming." After Sun Yat-sen's death, it was changed to "The revolution has not yet succeeded, comrades must still work hard" in the Prime Minister's will.
