Introduction to Laojun Rock: Laojun Rock is the earliest and only grotto discovered in Wudang Mountain. The existing site area is about 2,000 square meters. It created an environment where the highest deity of Taoism lived, that is, the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty. The residences of Tianzun, Lingbao Tianzun and Daode Tianzun are also known as the "three pure realms". There is a statue of Taishang Laojun carved in the middle of the grotto. The statue of Laojun has a dignified sitting posture, in the shape of a heavenly disk. Although the face has been damaged, the entire stone sculpture has a distinct Tang Dynasty stone carving style.
There is also a group of cliff carvings on the left side of Laojun Grotto, with stone carvings such as "The Prince Enters Wudang" and "Penglai Nine Immortals". Such a large area of grottoes and cliff carvings also brings together different texts from the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. This is a rare object for studying the religion and history of Wudang Mountain.
