Introduction to the former site of the Nanru Eighth Route Army Headquarters: The former site of the Nanru Eighth Route Army Headquarters is located in Nanru Village, Wutai County. After the July 7th Incident in 1937, the Eighth Route Army headquarters, led by Commander-in-Chief Zhu De, was stationed in Nanru Village. Here, comrades such as Zhu De and Peng Dehuai fought for more than 40 days, helped the local party and government, and founded the Wutai guerrillas; Xu Xiangqian, deputy commander of the 129th Division, commanded the famous Pingxingguan night attack on the Japanese airport at Yangmingbao and other battles. The former site of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Military Region Headquarters still remains in Jingangku, 15 kilometers south of Taihuai.
