Introduction to the Fu family’s old house: The Fu family’s old house has a history of nearly 200 years and is located in Guanghua Community. The old house faces south and has a front house, a hall, an ancestral hall, a back building with four entrances, and left and right wing rooms. It covers an area of 1,983 square meters and a construction area of 1,284 square meters. The ancestral hall has a width of 28.80 meters and a depth of 9 meters. There is a corridor in front of the seven purlins in the bucket style. Along a section of the open room, the front corridor is equipped with a rolling shed roof with complicated craftsmanship, which adds a bit of color to the whole building. The wood-carved window grilles and door patterns are graceful and exquisite. It is one of the few large houses in rural Zhoushan that has been preserved to this day. During the Qing Dynasty, there were many sages such as Fu Mengzhan, Fu Wenzai, and Fu Jinglian.
