Zhoushan Xiaosha Tourist Area is characterized by its rich island customs and historic sites, attracting many domestic and foreign tourists. The scenic spot is located in Xiaosha Town, Dinghai District, Zhoushan City. The ancient town is surrounded by mountains on three sides, adjacent to Ma'ao in the east, Shuangqiao in the south, Cengang in the west, and Changbai Waterway in the north. The coastline within the territory is tortuous, with numerous harbors, presenting a cross-landform of hills, plains, tidal flats and sea areas. Warm in winter and cool in summer, the climate is mild and humid, and the scenery is pleasant. This is the hometown of Sanmao, a famous contemporary female literary writer.
