Introduction to the Yingshi Zhuangyuan Temple: The Yingshi Zhuangyuan Temple is dedicated to Yingzhen, the number one scholar in Song Dynasty. The temple was originally located in Xifeng'an and was destroyed by war during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. A new temple was built in Shangding in the seventh year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty. Destroyed, it was rebuilt in 1993 with funds raised by folks at home and abroad, giving it a new look. Taiwan compatriots even use it as a place to trace their roots and pay homage to their ancestors.
