Introduction to murals: There are more than 20 murals painted in the fifteenth year of Yongle (1417 AD) in the Ming Dynasty on the top of the outer gables around the main hall of Xingjiao Temple. The mural was painted by Zhang Bao, a painter of the Bai ethnic group in Diantou Village, Shaxi. The more than 20 remaining murals in Xingjiao Temple are brightly colored and have strong religious overtones. The most distinctive ones are the "Assembly of Sakyamuni Tathagata Conquering Demons in Namo" on the lintel of the outer room of the main hall, the "Lao Zha Buddha Mother" on the outer wall of the right mountain in the south of the hall, and the "Prince's Garden Picture" on the center of the outer wall of the south outer room of the hall.
