Introduction to the protected area: Xuebaoding National Nature Reserve is connected to Huanglong Nature Reserve in the north and Baiyang Nature Reserve in the west. The area is about 5,400 meters above sea level from the Huya River to Xuebaoding. Below 2,000 meters is evergreen broad-leaved forest, 2,000-2,700 meters is coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest, 2,700-3,400 meters is coniferous forest, and 3,400-3,800 meters is coniferous forest. meters are alpine shrubs and meadows, above 3800 meters are mostly flowstone beach vegetation, and above 5000 meters there is snow all year round.
