Introduction to the Mahayana Temple: The Mahayana Temple was built in the reign of Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty. It was renamed in the 27th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty because it stored the Mahayana Sutra. It is an important Buddhist cultural site in history. In February 2005, the Yuci District Government handed over the Mahayana Temple to the Buddhist community and formally signed a contract with Pushou Temple, clearly stipulating that Pushou Temple would rebuild, manage, and protect the Mahayana Temple. Today, Mahayana Temple is an education and training base for Buddhist women in Shanxi, with nearly 500 students.
