Introduction to Apengjiang Gorge: Apengjiang Gorge is 38.9 kilometers long from Lianghe Town in Qianjiang Province to the mouth of Youyang River. The two mountains at the mouth of the gorge resemble two male and female turtles lying opposite each other, so it is also called Shengui Gorge. According to legend, a long time ago, the Jade Emperor specially sent the immortal Lu Dongbin to resettle villages all the way from the Central Plains to Nanyang. Lu Dongbin rode a divine turtle and led the land and sea troops to set off in a mighty manner. When he arrived at Tangjiao Bay, he was attracted by the beautiful scenery in front of him and was also shocked by the poverty of the local people. He sent his confidants, the male and female turtles, to stay to investigate the people's situation and benefit the people of Li. This pair of divine turtles also lived up to their trust and managed the area of Tong Kok Bay to be peaceful and prosperous. Now that they have become successful, they are lying here peacefully to take care of themselves.
