Introduction to Baihe Spring: Located behind Lushan Temple, it is surrounded by ancient trees and has a spring overflowing from a stone crevice. It never dries up in winter and summer. It is sweet and clear, and is known as "the most fragrant spring in Lushan Mountain". On the south side is the Laughing Rock, which is wonderful and unusual.
According to legend, in ancient times, a pair of cranes often flew here, hence the name White Crane Spring. Interestingly, the spring water was boiled to make tea, and the steaming hot air swirled around the mouth of the cup, resembling a white crane.
