Introduction to the Flower Hall of the Former Residence: The living room was the place where Sun Yiyan and Sun Yirang received court officials and distinguished guests. The carved beams and painted buildings here are also called the Flower Hall. Although it is called the Flower Hall, it looks simple and elegant. Hanging in the middle hall of the living room is a large plaque with blue ground and gold color, which reads "Brothers revisited Panshui, Chen Yili established Zhejiang Academic Affairs in the 19th year of Guangxu". It tells the story of Sun Yirang's father, Sun Yiyan, and uncle, Sun Qiangming, who successively passed the Jinshi examination. After 60 years, they revisited Kyoto to participate in the grand event of the Jinshi reunion.
