Later in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, when Emperor Wu of Liang climbed Beigu Mountain, he saw the spectacular scenery of Beigu Mountain and wrote "The Best Country in the World" with great enthusiasm. The six characters were left on the mountain, but unfortunately they can no longer be found. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Wu Zhi, the governor of Runzhou (Zhenjiang) and a famous calligrapher, rewrote these six characters. During the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, Cheng Kangzhuang, the general judge of Zhenjiang Prefecture, copied the stone. From then on, Beigu Mountain was rightly known as "the best country in the world".
