Chuxiong Moudinghua Foshan Travel Guide

Scenic spot introduction:
Moudinghua Foshan in Chuxiong is known as the "No. 1 Mountain in Central Yunnan" for its majestic mountains, secluded forests, strange trees, colorful flowers, ancient temples and many pagodas. This mountain is tall and straight, like a lion, sitting west to east, with its head held high and its chest high, showing extraordinary majesty. There are towering ancient trees and verdant bamboos in the mountains. There are clusters of strange trees, blocking out the sky and the sun, and tangled vines in various shapes. There are paths in the forest, winding roads in secluded valleys, gurgling streams, and fallen leaves like a blanket. In ancient times, there was a saying that "the wind is as calm as a home, and the luan birds are chirping day and night." Baiyunwo Temple was built in Foshan in the fifth year of Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1577). By the late Qing Dynasty, a total of 13 temples had been built. At its peak, there were hundreds of monks in the temple, making it a historical Buddhist resort. Every year on the first day of the first lunar month, devotees from far and near come to pay homage to the mountain in an endless stream. The monks and nuns have also formed an indissoluble bond with the forest. It can be said that they "live together in the forest day and night, with the sun, moon and pines as their companions." With its unique natural beauty and profound Buddhist heritage, Huafoshan has become an excellent place for tourists to climb mountains, escape the summer heat, burn incense and worship Buddha.
