Scenic spot introduction:

Kew Gardens in the UK is recognized as the most prestigious botanical garden in the world. It is also translated as Kew Garden or Catalpa Garden, etc. Its official name is Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. The botanical garden is located in the southwest corner of the third district of London, UK. It was originally a royal garden in the UK. It has a collection of about 50,000 plants (about 1/8 of the known plants) and has been listed as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

Attractions distribution:

The history of Kew Gardens can be traced back to 1759, when Augusta, the widow of Prince of Wales, son of George II and Queen Caroline, sent people to build a botanical garden covering only 3.5 hectares in the manor where she lived. This was the original Kew Gardens. In 1840, Kew Gardens was handed over to the state for management and gradually opened to the public. Later, after three donations from the royal family, by 1904, the scale of Kew Gardens reached 121 hectares. In the colonial era, British power expanded to the world, and explorers often brought back various exotic plants and cultivated them here. Kew Gardens gradually became famous in Europe for its various exotic flowers and trees.
Today, after several generations of management, Kew Gardens not only has more than 50,000 species of plants in different growing environments, but also preserves hundreds of thousands of specimens that are hundreds of years old, and a large seed bank that stores more than one billion seeds from more than 20,000 species of plants. In addition to the conventional garden design, the botanical garden also has a special wildlife sanctuary, which is located next to the Thames and has a good ecological environment with endless grass carpets everywhere.
