Scenic spot introduction:

Xie Mountain in Gucheng has majestic mountains and lush forests. The main peak, Daughter Peak, is 1,009.3 meters above sea level. The terrain of one protruding peak and two rivers (Nanhe River and Hanshui River) is full of winds, which makes the place rich in vegetation. The forest coverage rate reaches 93.3%, and the annual average temperature is 12 ℃, with an average summer temperature of 25 ℃. The pleasant climate has made Xieshan enjoy the reputation of "Southern China's Summer Resort" since the 1870s.

Xieshan Mountain has colorful scenery, including more than 60 scenic spots such as Dressing Table, Daughter's Peak, Fengdong Stone, Millennium Liquidambar Tree, and Nanzhu Garden. At the beginning of the 19th century, missionaries from Britain, Norway, Canada, Italy and other countries built 54 Chinese and Western villas in Xieshan, 16 of which have been restored; the former senior Canadian diplomat Ronning's villa still exists; during the Great Revolution, He Long led The Red Army entered Xieshan to carry out the revolutionary struggle and established the Red Army headquarters in Xieshan, which has been restored; the villa of Li Zongren, the former acting president of the Kuomintang, is well preserved.
