Penghu County consists of the main island of Penghu and 64 surrounding islands, collectively known as the Penghu Islands, located in the middle of the Taiwan Strait. The easternmost island of the county is Chamo Island; the westernmost island is Hua Island; the southernmost island is Qimei Island; the northernmost island is Mudou Island; and the westernmost island is Hua Island, which is also the westernmost island in Taiwan. 1. Penghu International Sea Fireworks Festival: Every year from mid-May to mid-June, fireworks are set off twice a week, combined with various sightseeing activities. It is the highlight of Penghu tourism in summer. During this period, various airlines and travel agencies will launch many fireworks festival series tours.
2. Judao Seafood Festival: September every year is the time for seafood tasting, and a variety of seafood leisure fishing activities will be carried out, such as Penghu's unique offshore oyster, sea bream, and grouper farming, traditional big-eyed boat rowing, and the mound-holding fish-catching method.
Tip: July and August are the peak tourist seasons, and most air tickets are fully booked by travel agencies, so if you are traveling by yourself, you must book two months in advance.

airplane:
1. There are flights from Taipei, Taichung, Chiayi, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Pingtung and other places to Magong Airport. Kaohsiung also has direct flights to Qimei and Wangan.
2. The routes of various airlines are as follows: Taipei←→Magong has Far Eastern Air Transport, TransAsia Airways, and Uni Air; Taichung←→Magong has Mandarin Airlines and Uni Air; Chiayi←→Magong has Mandarin Airlines, Uni Air, Far Eastern Air Transport, and Mandarin Airlines; Kaohsiung←→Qimei has Mandarin Airlines and Uni Air; Kaohsiung←→Wangan has Uni Air; Magong←→Qimei has Uni Air and Mandarin Airlines.
3. You can take a bus or taxi from the airport to Magong City. The fare for the latter is about NT$350-400. If you call a taxi in advance, the fare will be around NT$300.

Ship:
There are ferry services between Chiayi and Kaohsiung respectively. Neptune/Chiayi (Budai) ←→ Lock Harbor, the voyage takes about 90 minutes, this route is suspended in winter; Taihua/Kaohsiung ←→ Magong, the voyage takes about 4 hours. There are regular ferry services between Magong and Wangan and Qimei, and there are privately operated ferry services to other outlying islands.

There are buses on the main island of Penghu, but the frequency is not high. In addition, the road network on the island is simple and easy to travel, and the road conditions are excellent. Tourists often rent cars or taxis to get around. The main island scenic route starts from Magong City, first passes Fenggui, to Lintou Park, Guoye Village, and then to Baisha, Tongliang Ancient Banyan, Cross-sea Bridge, Xiyu, etc. The total distance is about 74.5 kilometers. If you want to rent a car, you must have your ID card and driver's license.
