Kunming Golden Palace Scenic Area is located at the foot of Mingfeng Mountain in Panlong District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. The "Golden Palace" is made of pure copper and was first built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. In the tenth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1637), the bronze palace was moved to Jizu Mountain in Binchuan. In the 10th year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1671), Wu Sangui, King of Pingxi, rebuilt the existing Zhenwu Bronze Hall with double eaves and Xieshan style. There are still inscriptions on the hall beams: "In the 10th year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, the year of Xinhai, the month of Dalu, and the tenth year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi." Ji, the words "Pingxi Prince Wu Sangui Jingzhu".The Golden Palace Scenic Area covers an area of 1,773 acres.
