Shanghai Jiao Tong University is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in my country. It is one of the first batch of universities built in the national "Seventh Five-Year Plan" and "Eighth Five-Year Plan" and the "211 Project" and "985 Project". Since its establishment, the school has adhered to the purpose of "seeking practical learning and practical industry", and has taken the cultivation of "first-class talents" as its educational goal. It has been diligent and enterprising, and has been known as the "Eastern MIT" in the 1920s and 1930s. During the Anti-Japanese War, teachers and students went through hardships, moved to the concession, moved to Chongqing, and insisted on running the school.
