Qionghai Lushan Scenic Area is located in Xichang City, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan. Qionghai lies at the northeastern foothills of Lushan Mountain and on the north side of Luoji Mountain. It is also called Qiongchi because there was a "Qiongdu Yi" clan tribe more than 2,000 years ago. It is named after it thrives along its coast. Qionghai has a water area of ​​28 square kilometers, an average water depth of 11 meters, and an altitude of 1,510 meters. It is the second largest freshwater lake in Sichuan Province. Lushan Mountain, standing on the north bank of Qionghai Lake, is a green peak with greenery all year round. During the Han and Jin Dynasties, Xichang built Yue Xi County, and because Lu Mountain stood on the water and looked like a frog, the "Shui Jing Zhu" called it "Frog Xi Mountain". During the Tang and Song dynasties, the Anning River flowing through Xichang was called "Lushui". The mountain was named after the water, and the name of Wachi Mountain was changed to Lushan, which is still in use today.
