Zhengding Linji Temple is the birthplace of the Linji sect of Zen Buddhism in China and the ancestral home of the Linji sect of Japanese Buddhism. The most attractive thing in the temple is the Chengling Pagoda, a national treasure-level cultural relic. It has a tall and elegant shape and gorgeous carvings. Liang Sicheng once praised it as "clear and beautiful, the best among the towers." Although the temple was destroyed in the war between the Song Dynasty and the Jin Dynasty, after reconstruction, it is still magnificent, with towering pagodas, solemn Buddha statues, and Buddhist chants. It is a famous ancient temple in Zhengding and even the whole country.

How to get there:

Bus route: Bus 136 or 177 and get off at Linji Temple.

Self-driving route: Shijiazhuang Tiyu North Street passes through the North Second Ring Road and goes straight north. When you reach the Zhengding South Gate, turn right onto Yanzhao South Street and walk 500 meters east on Linji Road.
