Duyichu Introduction: Shaomai Restaurant is located at No. 36 Qianmen Street, a bustling street. It was founded in the third year of Qianlong (1738) and has a history of 250 years. It is a famous century-old restaurant in Beijing. one.
Legend has it that on the eve of the New Year's Eve in the 17th year of Qianlong's reign, Emperor Qianlong passed through Qianmen on his way back to Beijing from a private visit in Tongzhou. At that time, all the shops were closed, and only the "Wangji Liquor Shop" had lights open for business, so he entered the shop. During the meal, due to the attentive hospitality, the strong aroma of the wine, and the delicious side dishes, I became interested in the small shop. I started chatting with the shop owner and asked what the name of the hotel was. The shop owner replied: "The shop has no name." After hearing this, Qianlong said: Your family is the only one open in the capital at this time, "Let's call it Duyichu!" After returning to the palace, Qianlong personally wrote the name of the "Duyichu" store and engraved it on a plaque. A few days later, someone from the palace sent someone to deliver it. Here comes this tiger head plaque. From then on, "Duyichu" replaced "Wangji Liquor Shop", and business was booming from then on.
