The Red Square of the Haifeng Red Palace was the revolutionary activity venue of the first Soviet regime established by the people of Haifeng under the leadership of the Communists headed by Comrade Peng Pai during the Chinese Revolution. Red Palace Red Square is located in the Ming Dynasty Haifeng Academy in the middle section of Renmin South Road in Haifeng County, Guangdong Province. From November 18 to 21, 1927, the County Congress of Workers, Peasants and Soldiers Soviets was held here and established China's first red regime - Haifeng Soviet Government, since then, many important meetings of the revolutionary regime have been held here.

The Red Palace was originally a study palace in the Ming Dynasty. It was founded by Zheng Yuan, the magistrate of Haifeng County in the Ming Dynasty, in the 12th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1329). The study palace covers an area of ​​1,850 square meters. The existing buildings include Lingxing Gate, Arch Bridge Panchi, and Dacheng Front Hall. The main hall (also known as the "Confucian Temple") and the two side halls contain many revolutionary cultural relics. The former Red Square site on the east side of the Red Palace was originally "Dongcangpu", covering an area of ​​more than 22,000 square meters. After the establishment of the Haifeng Soviet regime, Comrade Peng Pai called for the construction of the Red Square gate and command post here on December 1, 1927. , a conference attended by more than 50,000 people was held here to celebrate the establishment of the Haifeng Soviet Government. On January 2, 1928, the Nanchang Uprising troops led by Dong Lang and Yan Changxi and the Guangzhou Uprising troops led by Ye Yong, Yuan Yu, Xu Xiangqian and others successfully met here.
