Guangfu Ancient Town is a famous historical and cultural town in Jiangsu Province. It is 25 kilometers west of Suzhou City. Guangfu Ancient Town is a peninsula embedded in Taihu Lake. It is also named Dengwei because of Dengwei Mountain in the south of the town. In late winter and early spring, plum blossoms of all colors bloom here. The plum blossoms all over the mountains and fields are very spectacular, so it is known as the "Sea of Fragrant Snow". Within the territory is Qionglong Mountain, the most famous mountain in Jiangsu. At the foot of my mountain there is a Situ Temple dedicated to Deng Yu, the Great Situ of the Eastern Han Dynasty. On the ninth day of the first lunar month, there is a gathering at Sheng’en Temple to pray for blessings and prevent disasters and watch folk art activities.
From February to March, Xiangxuehai holds the annual Plum Blossom Festival. You can enjoy more than 10 kinds of plum blossoms, watch masters making handicrafts, pray for blessings, and participate in photography competitions.
In April, you can participate in the tea picking activities at Xiangxuehai, and you can also taste the Biluochun tea you picked for free.
At the Tongguanyin Temple Cherry Blossom Festival in April, you can enjoy the authentic Japanese evening cherry blossoms.
