Guangzhou Nanhai Temple is a place where Chinese emperors of all dynasties worshiped the sea. It is the largest and most complete Tanhai Temple that has been preserved among the four sea temples in China. The Nanhai Temple was built in the 14th year of Emperor Kaihuang's reign in the Sui Dynasty (AD 594). Nanhai Temple is located in Miaotou Village, Nangang Town, Huangpu District, covering an area of more than 30,000 square meters.
