Scenic spot introduction:

Lingchuan Qizi Mountain is characterized by the origin of Go, Jizi Memorial Site, vacation recuperation and forest summer resort landscape. It is a tourist attraction that integrates Go culture and natural scenery. According to legend, this mountain was the fiefdom of Jizi, a nobleman of the Yin and Shang Dynasties. After King Wu of the Zhou Dynasty destroyed the Shang Dynasty, Jizi once took refuge here, playing with stones and making astronomical deductions. Qizi Mountain is gentle, with the main peak at an altitude of 1,488 meters. There are forests of pine trees on the mountain, and the scenery is beautiful. Within a radius of tens of miles, there are natural chess and stones everywhere. There are more than 30 peaks in the area. The mountains in the north and east are steep and deep, and the mountains in the west and south are gentle. There are layers of terraces and villages under the mountains. The geological formation here is complex and unique, and the surface is mostly Cambrian limestone and other common soil and stone formations. The forest coverage rate reaches more than 95%, mainly pine trees planted artificially in the 1960s, and various shrubs, mountain flowers, wild grasses and medicinal materials are densely covered. Wild animals such as pheasants, roe deer, wild boars, hares, and foxes inhabit the mountain forests. The natural ecology of the scenic spot is intact, the climate is cool and the air is fresh. Historically, the highest temperature in the hot summer season has not exceeded 29°C, and the normal temperature in summer has remained between 22°C and 24°C. It is indeed a cool world on the top of the Taihang Mountains. Qizi Mountain is located in the northeast of Houzhuang Township, 10 kilometers away from Lingchuan County, Shanxi Province.

Qizi Mountain is divided into five major scenic spots: Qizi Mountain Summer Resort, Wangmangling Scenic Tourist Area, Fozishan Grand Canyon Tourist Area, Xixi Spring Scenic Area, and Lingchuan Red Leaves Scenic Area. The main attractions in the scenic area include Jizi Cave, Xianze Cave, Memorial Pavilion, Xiangtian Scale, Sun Viewing Platform, Luming Garden, Qintai, Dianjiang Terrace, Foguang Cliff, and Stone Forest.
